Control Room A

A great control room is defined by many things but most important is an acoustically neutral room. When a room colors what is being monitored it can be detrimental to a project and it’s real world translation in different listening environments. This is why One Louder Studio turned to Jay Porter of Radial Engineering/Primacoustic for our acoustic treatment design. Primacoustic was vital in helping in creating an balanced listening environment making mixes and masters translate outside of the studio and into the real world. Our control room is your gateway to a better sounding record.

The next thing to consider is that a control room is only as good as the gear filling it! One Louder Studio has combined the best in outboard analog gear with the industry standard for digital recording to create a true Modular Analog/ Digital Console. Pro Tools HDX provides the backbone of our studio, with 48 channels of audio in and out simultaneously and latency free, no delay between the sound source and the playback. Bringing the audio into our Pro Tools HDX rig is our custom modular analog front end. The system, consisting of Preamps from the likes of Rupert Neve Designs, Radial, and Black Lion Audio, EQ from SSL and API, and Compression/Gating by SSL, Radial, and Aphex along with boutique and custom pieces ensures that your audio sounds great before it is even recorded. On the back end we leave Pro Tools HDX and output to our analog summing Dangerous Music 2-Bus+ and our favorite the SSL G Series Stereo Bus Compressor, giving us that “Big Desk” sound with the ability to change to meet the needs of our clients.

Genelec 8050b and Yamaha NS10M provide us with fantastic audio reproduction to get accurate and real world translatable mixes. Add in our video monitoring system for watching each room plus our Furman HDS-6 Headphone System and you truly have a one of a kind studio experience.
